Building dates, rebuilding dates and withdrawal dates taken from Groves
Dates of other boiler changes (to 1939) taken from Doncaster Repairs Volumes. For Ivatt engines surviving at September 1939, other later boiler changes taken from Yeadon Registers.

Similar boiler numbering considerations apply as for Stirling engines, viz.
For engines built 1896-1901, boiler Nos. shown thus [111] denote the boiler was allocated this number post-1901, but may or may not have actually acquired it.  The number may never have been applied to this boiler and may even have been first applied to the boiler after it had been transferred later to another engine.
Boiler Nos. shown thus (111) denote the boiler was already so numbered by the date shown.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, all boiler changes took place at Doncaster Works.

In general, minor discrepancies in dates (e.g. one month) found in published works have been ignored
